As taught in Mysore, India, in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, the practice of Ashtanga Yoga is undertaken 6 days a week, observing rest days on Full Moon and New Moon (Classes are still held on these days and the choice to take rest is with the practitioner). Students practice the sequence under the guidance of their teacher, who will safely and progressively move them through the practice observing steadiness in each pose and quality of breath before moving forward.
ASHTANGA LED PRIMARY
Led classes are the more recognisable classes where the teacher talks the students through the poses for the entire class. Great for learning the correct sequencing of poses, the correct method of breathing and technical aspects to improve balance and coordination.
Private lessons are an excellent method to refine and improve your existing practice or to learn from the beginning if you are more comfortable in a one on one setting. Available in our studio outside of class times or at your home by prior appointment.

About Ayurvedic Yoga Massage:
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage combines traditional Indian Deep Tissue Massage and Yoga-Based Stretching Therapies. This original method of AYM was developed in the early 1980s by Master Kusum Modak from Pune, India. A female student of Yoga Guru BKS Iyengar, Kusum brings together the essence of Iyengar Yoga practice, along with her personal experience on Ayurvedic massage gained from her old teacher Master Lamaye Maharaj, an expert in the art of therapeutic massage. The individual session ofAyurvedic Yoga Massage ARYM is given on a mattress on the floor. Treatment duration varies between 60-90 minutes. The treatment involves alternation between Deep Tissue massage and a series of stretches covering all regions of the body. Gradually a sense of openness and presence is brought to the receiver. Both hands and feet are used in the delivery of the massage. Another unique tool of the AYM massage is the use of Calamus powder mixed with just a little oil brings out the toxins from the body; the scrubbing and stimulating feeling awakens the skin, blood circulation and senses.
This kind of therapy brings instant benefits on physical, psychological and energetic levels, among them:
Harmonizes the flow of vital energy (Prana) and induces a deep sense of stillness and opening.
Stimulates breathing capacity and promotes the circulation of all the body’s fluids.
Releases over-tension in the muscles and looses joint stiffness.
Streches fascias and realigns body structure.
Increases the range of movement and improves correct posture.
Products used: Sesame oil & Calamus Powder.
Energy healing - Magnified Healing: Rewiring the nervous system, balancing Chakras and clearing of karma.
Magnified Healing is a holistic approach to healing your body naturally. Your practitioner combines healing energy with voice and movement to establish a constant flow of energy from your heart to the Source. This treatment aims toheal the body on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. . Magnified Healing is done while lying down fully clothed. The practitioner places one hand in front of the body of the client who is receiving the treatment and the other in back of the client. The energy goes from one hand to the other through the body of the client. Then the practitioner releases all misqualified energies and imbalances. These imbalances are what cause disease & poor health. Everyone can benefit from Magnified Healing. If you are healthy, the energy works to help you stay clear and balanced. If you have been diagnosed with a disease, are under any form of stress or have an injury, Magnified Healing will assist in the healing process. While not a miracle cure, many clients experience a significant relief of physical ailments from receiving Magnified Healing. Others may experience a release of repressed emotional baggage that has been keeping them blocked or stuck. The recipient’s response to treatment varies with their individual needs.
Magnified Healing was introduced to the Earth in 1983. Previously, this healing method was used only in the higher dimensions by the Ascended Masters to assist themselves, the Masters on Earth, and mankind under special divine dispensation. In 1992, under the direct intervention and inspiration of Lady Master Kwan Yin, Magnified Healing was brought forth into its expanded form for the advancement of Humanity and the Earth.
The name Kwan Yin means “she who harkens to the cries of the world.”
As the Goddess of Compassion and Mercy, she performs her service of mercy and healing through love–not through the merit of those who receive her gifts.
Her flower and electronic pattern are the five-petalled lotus.
Lord Buddha Gautama was her Enlightened Master.
It is said that she maintained life in the body for one thousand years before ascending.
Kwan Yin was “Chohan of the Seventh Ray” and “Keeper of the Violet Flame” for two thousand years until St. Germain succeeded her in 1954.
